Booked for Lunch: An Author Talk with Lis Blanchard In-Person

Join us for one of our oldest traditions! Booked for Lunch is a free program that invites a local author or speaker to present their work or present their thoughts on a current book. Guests are welcomed to bring a bagged lunch to enjoy during the program. Leave room for dessert, graciously prepared by the Friends of the South Windsor Public Library. Coffee, tea and water also provided.

Join us for an author talk with Lis Blanchard about her debut novel, Sutton's Home:

Sutton Jones built her life one small victory at a time: a horse named Lucy, late-night waitressing, classes at the community college, and a best friend who would do anything for her. But everything unravels the night her father, drunk and broken, destroys the one thing she loved. So she decides to run.

Decisions always come with a risk. And every decision Sutton makes ends in tragedy. However, her best friend, Jonah, offers her a key. A key that could mean safety and happiness. Instead, Sutton chooses the first man that shows her any interest and enters a life filled with loss, confusion, and threats. Jonah continues to wait, but will Sutton ever accept his offer? Will she ever realize that happiness can be hers with the turn of key?
