Connecticut's Aviation Industry: Pratt & Whitney In-Person
Frederick Rentschler came to Hartford with the dream of producing a revolutionary advancement in air cooled aircraft engines. That engine, the R-1340 WASP, would begin 100 years of aircraft engine excellent for his new company, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Carl Cruff and Keith Lindstrom, P&W retirees, will provide an overview of the P&W story highlighting the piston and jet engines powering military and commercial aviation for over a century.
